Greentank Becomes the Cannabis Industry’s First Vape Manufacturer to Launch Certified Child-Resistant Hardware

March 6, 2019 – TORONTO, CANADA  – Greentank (“Greentank” or the “Company”), a leading manufacturer of innovative, high-performance vaporization hardware announced today that its GT Spectrum CR cartridge has been found to meet rigorous North American standards and protocols for child-resistant certification, making Greentank the first cannabis vape manufacturer to fully comply with such consumer product safety standards.

Greentank’s GT CR series is a new and innovative cartridge technology developed by the Company which allows for easy and reliable capping without the need for a press device. As part of Greentank’s continued commitment to meeting the highest safety standards, the Company commissioned an independent study to validate the GT CR’s ability to meet the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) current standards and protocols for child-safe packaging as set forth in the Code of Federal Regulations Title 16, Part 1700. Testing was conducted by an A2LA accredited laboratory with a 35-year track record in evaluating child-resistant packaging for industry and government.

Over the course of the evaluation, the lab tested the GT CR with a panel of children aged 42 to 51 months. The study concluded that once the GT CR cartridge was locked, children in the control group were unable to access the oil in any capacity, fulfilling the CPSC’s requirements for child-resistant effectiveness with a zero percent failure rate.
